The Quebec International Bonspiel in Quebec City

The Quebec International Bonspiel in Quebec City

The QIB is 5-day bonspiel which takes place in Quebec City at the end of January every year. This event is played in all the different curling clubs in the city and most of the many social events take place in the world-famous Fairmont le Château Frontenac hotel.

The QIB is not an invitational bonspiel; if you are interested in coming and experiencing this unique event, we want to hear from you. Your team can be all men, all women or any combination in between. If you do not have a full team, you can still register and we will complete your team so you can participate.

Rookies' Guide

Rookies' Guide

The Quebec International Bonspiel is not a typical weekend bonspiel. We have traditions that date back to our roots in 1913 and many different aspects that are unique.

If you haven't yet participated, you might have a question or two. Do you really start on Saturday? (Yes!) Do I have to be able to speak French to enjoy the QIB? (No!) And we're sure you will have other questions and that you will want better answers!

In fact, why not visit the Rookies FAQ page to see if your questions are there... or if there are questions that you haven't thought to ask yet?
